RECIRCLE X AEPW

Revolutionizing Low-Value Plastic Waste Management
From July 27, 2023, to March 31, 2024, ReCircle partnered with the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW) on a groundbreaking initiative aimed at transforming how India handles low-value plastics (LVP). The project aimed to divert 3,500 tons of LVP from landfills, thus closing the loop for plastics that are often discarded as unmanageable.
The project exceeded expectations by diverting 3,609 tons of Low-value plastic (LVP) waste.

2,838 tons

were sent for co-processing.

728.57 tons

were recycled, giving new life to low-value plastics.

were integrated into formal government schemes

activities on sanitation, healthcare, and plastic waste management training were conducted across multiple cities

Pioneering Circularity in Footwear Recycling

In an industry where end-of-life footwear often means landfill destiny, ReCircle and Metro Shoes dared to imagine different. What began as a bold vision to recover old discarded footwear developed into a holistic two-phase partnership that reclaimed 2,300 tonnes of footwear waste from landfills through strategic collection and processing.

PHASE 1: August 2023 – October 2023

In the first phase of this project we recovered 1,300 tonnes of footwear waste from Ghaziabad and Uttar Pradesh.

were recycled and transformed into raw materials.

were co-processed as alternative fuel in waste-to-energy facilities.

PHASE 2: June 2024 – September 2024

Scaling our success, we tackled an additional 1,000 tons of footwear across Maharashtra, Gujarat, & Tamil Nadu, showcasing the scalability of circular solutions.
